Stage 4 Year 8

The student’s body of work focused on the viewpoint of the structural frame, overlapping a combination of animal patterns into a drawing. followed by a viewfinder of a section to create an enlarged textural painting. Experimentation with paint mediums, complementary colours and and collage was explored

From their patterned complementary paintings, students moved into 3-D ceramic sculptures, focusing on sculpting process, emphasizing refinement in building and carving metamorphic features. Students applied textures and incorporated glazing elements to enhance their final piece.

Once works were fired, students photographed their work and used photoshop to include themselves and their animals into a scene lab scene, interacting with their metamorphic animals and role playing as scientists.
