Stage 4 Year 7

Year 7 created a body of work based on Me, Myself and I. They began with a self-portrait photograph, then studied proportion with a pencil self-portrait drawing and investigated perspective with a two-point perspective of their bedroom.

They combined their portrait photo with their two point perspective bedroom drawing as the foundation for either a screen-print or lino print artwork. The students extend their printmaking journey with exploring the technical skills of collage and mixed media, to create a layered surface as their final artwork. Students conduct critical and historical analysis of portraits by Vincent Van Gogh, Brett Whiteley and Frida Kahlo.
